Hello,
Two weeks after having an inguinal hernia no-mesh surgery by Dr. Joel Gorman, I can point out several advantages:
I didn’t feel like I’m having a surgery, didn’t feel the anesthetization and woke up fresh right after like I had a good sleep. After a short recovery I set down and could walk. I could dress up with the same clothes I arrived with and walk on my own to the car back home. Neighbors who had a similar surgery couldn’t believe I had just returned from a surgery.
Right after the surgery Dr. Gorman provided me detailed instructions about the expected recovery, and during the following days he called to ask about my recovery and provided instructions accordingly.
The day after the surgery, in the morning, I could drive and go to pray at the synagogue and even to my studies. Someone told me that after this surgery, he crawled on his knees for two weeks. During the next 2 weeks there was a good progress and didn’t need any help with basic activities, such as dressing, bathing, short walks, cooking, grocery shopping etc.
On Saturday I could already walk to my synagogue to all prayers.
Yesterday after two week I even shopped at the supermarket.
In short, I feel great. Even though other felt bad after similar experience, I’m going through it in comfort.
Occasionally, there are pains during activity, but they are at very low level and totally bearable. I even used to ignore them. The doctor’s instructions should be followed precisely.
Dr. Gorman succeeded to decrease the difficulties significantly – having a surgery and feels like you didn’t – and to know that a man can function independently without bothering surroundings.
I also was impressed by the way Dr. Gorman sees his job as a mission to help people and decrease their pain as much as possible. He even asks for your mother’s name and prays for your recovery, as a good Jewish and doctor should do.
Greetings from the bottom of my heart. May G-d bless Dr. Joel Gorman wherever his goes and will fulfill all his wishes for best. For his efforts to reduce people pain and suffer, so G-d will give all the best for him and his family.
Best regards,
Victor Jerbi
